Paradise’s flowers

Edible flower and plant rooftop cultivation

Together with the architect XTU, STUDIO MUGO has developed a productive field at the heart of Paris on a 580m2 roof terrace, located on the 6th floor of an office building. This space will be developed for growing cut flowers and aromatic edible herbs, intended for the local restaurants and shops. Non-productive green areas filled with sedum-type plants and large grass covers, will serve as habitat for local biodiversity. This project embodies a new model of resilient and nourishing cities in line with the seasons. Setting up a short distribution network with French farms will allow to increase the supply of flowers and aromatic herbs.
