SciencesPo

A Parisian campus between courtyard and gardens

A new story begins for Sciences Po Paris…

The reconversion of the hôtel de l’Artillerie (14000 m2) in the heart of the St-Germain-des-Près neighbourhood will be carried by the promoter Sogelym Dixence alongside the architects Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Moreau-Kusunoki and Sasaki and MUGO for the landscape.

Beyond the architectural challenge, turning a 17th-century former monastery into an innovative sustainable university campus represents a complete make-over for Sciences Po, 150 years after its creation. MUGO is proud to bring its expertise and know-how to this complex project in order to design landscaped courtyards, real “green bubbles“ in the style of Anglo-Saxon university campuses, where recreational gardens, green work space, vegetable and fruit gardens are mixed together. Students, teachers, researchers and visitors will be able to meet, share, discuss and reenergize in this new space to reinvent tomorrow’s world and make Paris and France shine across the globe.
