A city block inner courtyard promoting biodiversity
At the heart of a mineral and isolated city block STUDIO MUGO assists the Kremlin-Bicêtre -Town Hall in the creation of a space dedicated to biodiversity and urban agriculture. An area of 2,500m² will be made permeable again to make space for a vegetal fitness trail, a mesophilic meadow, an edible hedge and terraced orchard. This green stopover opens onto a collaborative space including a planting area, a community vegetable garden and an educational vegetable garden.
This project contributes to the neighbourhood dynamics. It will host temporary exhibitions in connection with the nearby cultural centre and groups of school children who come to experience urban nature.
