A multi-purpose rooftop
La Maillerie (‘the stitchery’), located at the heart of the Lille metropolitan area, is a former industrial site to be reconverted into a vibrant quarter, in which STUDIO MUGO will create a green rooftop. Three blocks will allow for a full integration of this new development into the neighbourhood. With 1500m2 of market gardens and educational agriculture, its future inhabitants will be able to enjoy a green environment dedicated to play, workshops, work spaces, relaxation and a natural grassland to promote and observe biodiversity. Markets and workshops evolving around local product sale and local distribution will be organised in this unique and lively site.
