Charenton Bercy
Reinvent the district with an ecological corridor
STUDIO MUGO designed the different landscape identities for the Charenton-Bercy site together with architects Ateliers 2/3/4/ and Arep. Out of the 12 hectares covered in this urban project, there will be 3.6 hectares of green space including over 5,000 m2 of suspended public gardens, a 9,000m2 landscaped garden bridge and another 7,200 m2 bridge that spans the Seine over the railway. A mosaic of landscaped areas with different purposes and plants will come together to form a functional ecological network restoring the connections to the Bois de Vincennes and the Seine.
